Accessed from Mill Lane, the Millenium Field comprises an area of some five hectares of gently sloping open grassland adjoining the Sheet Allotments and bordered on its eastern boundary by the wooded surrounds of the River Rother.

In 2000, small areas of the site were planted by Sheet residents with a mix of native trees. More recently a botanical survey identified over seventy wildflower and tree species and a small area has been planted with fruit trees.

The Field is circled and crossed by several paths, making it popular with dog-walkers. Some further limited hedge and copse planting is planned in 2025 as part of a new management plan designed to protect the open grassland and encourage increased wildflower species.

A wooded path lined with tall, slender trees and a blanket of blooming snowdrops on the forest floor. The leaf-strewn path winds through the trees, under a canopy of bare branches, creating a serene, natural setting.
