Sheet Common is an area to the northeast of the parish comprising approximately 5 hectares- of which two thirds is tree covered and one third is open grass land. The land is crossed by footpaths and is an open area for all to enjoy.
The woodland canopy consists of Oak, Sycamore, Silver Birch, Beech, Scots Pine, Holly, Field Maple, Lime, Rowan and Mountain Ash. There is also honeysuckle and wild clematis and an abundance of lichen and fungi.
Wildlife observed includes Roe deer, foxes, pipistrelle bats, barn owls, green and greater spotted woodpeckers, tree creepers, thrushes, buzzards, wrens and robins as well as a wide variety of butterflies.
Sheet Parish Council is grateful to the Hampshire Monday Group Volunteers who regularly help to maintain the Common by reducing the bracken and brambles and thinning self-set trees where appropriate.
